ANGER MANAGEMENT COURSE
This course is designed for to assess and educate clients to the factors surrounding the ‘loss of control’ one experiences in anger issues as well as the methods and steps necessary to avoid a loss of control in real world situations. Often an inordinate amount of stress moves a person ‘over the limit’ and triggers and anger outburst that can have consequences. The ability to control anger and net allow it to control you has never been more important than ever on the job, in the community and real life. The ability to do so is a major factor in controlling violence and disruptive behavior. This course identifies specific areas that can help the individual modify and regain control of their behavior in an acceptable fashion. Course topic areas include interpersonal assertion, empathy, and stress management.
As with all educational tools used by CBEC, the program is evidence based, and has three instructional parts. The client takes a pre-assessment to establish baseline behaviors. From this ‘Map’, the client is assigned skill enhancement areas based on competency and need. Finally, the client must display competency in a post assessment.
